Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what estimate the Government has made of the number of staff required for an agency to replace Euratom; and whether there is a sufficient number of workers in the UK with the appropriate level of skills and expertise to carry out the roles required in such a successor agency.

We are working closely with the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) to ensure that they will be in a position to take on the role and responsibilities required to meet our international safeguards and nuclear non-proliferation obligations.
