Question to the Department for International Trade:

To ask the Secretary of State for International Trade, whether his Department has had discussions with the Home Office on the potential merits of including visa liberalisation within future trade agreements.

Department for International Trade officials and I have regular discussions with the Home Office on a range of policy issues, including the contribution visa policy can make to the promotion of trade and inward investment. We will continue to welcome the brightest and the best talent from Europe and around the world but the precise immigration arrangements that will apply after the UK leaves the EU have yet to be determined.
