Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what assessment he has made of the progress of negotiations on a comprehensive agreement between the EU and Azerbaijan; and what the Government's policy is on the potential scope of such an agreement.

Negotiations on a comprehensive agreement between the EU and Azerbaijan were launched on 7 February 2017 and will gather momentum over the course of the coming months. The EU’s negotiating mandate was adopted on 14 November 2016. Enhancing cooperation between the EU and Azerbaijan is in the UK’s interest.
