Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, with reference to Part 1 of the UK Digital Strategy, published on 1 March 2017, what estimate his Department has made of the data speed per (a) passenger and (b) train that will be required to meet new train operator requirements in the rail franchises.

Our priority is for passengers to experience a reliable and highly available mobile service and we will be securing this within future franchises.
