Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, how many looked-after children, in each of the last three years for which data is available, were in facilities deemed to fall below the national minimum standards for the welfare of children set out by her Department.

This is a matter for Ofsted. I have asked Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector, Amanda Spielman, to write to the Honourable Member for Birkenhead with the information requested.
