Question to the Department for International Trade:
To ask the Secretary of State for International Trade, what (a) steps he has taken and (b) procedures he has put in place to consult other government departments on trade negotiations.
The Department for International Trade works closely with a wide range of departments at ministerial and official-level to ensure the UK’s trade policy is coherent and consistent.
Negotiating future trade deals will require a whole of Government approach and formal procedures are being put in place to ensure departments will be actively engaged in the process.
