Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what estimate his Department has made of the number of nurses who will be required in (a) Salford and (b) England by 2020.

Information relating to the number of nurses required in Salford is not held centrally by the Department.
In the 2016/17 Workforce Plan for England, Health Education England estimates the future demand for qualified nurses (adult, children’s, mental health and learning disability nurses) in England by 2020 will be 339,338.
