Question to the Department for Education:
To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what proportion of children was eligible for free school meals in (a) Barnsley and (b) the UK in each of the last seven years.
Figures on the proportion of children eligible for free school meals are published, for all authorities in England, annually. The most recent figures can be found in the statistical first release available at: https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/schools-pupils-and-their-characteristics-january-2017.
