Officials frequently engage with local diaspora groups. The Nigerian diaspora in the UK are an incredible human resource, who bring expertise, knowledge, education, experience and entrepreneurial skills that can be deployed creatively to benefit Nigeria's future development and prosperity.

A recent example of our engagement with the Nigerian diaspora was through a roundtable discussion in Manchester on Modern Slavery with community and faith leaders in February 2017. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has previously hosted similar discussions on a variety of issues including prosperity.
