The Department continues to work closely with Ofqual, the exam boards and key sector bodies to communicate to key audiences the changes to GCSEs, including the new 9-1 grading scale.

In July 2016, the Department and Ofqual jointly produced a slide pack that was sent to all schools in England to help teachers prepare and explain the changes to parents and pupils.

Ofqual has also issued a series of short videos and social media activities for a variety of audiences including parents.
