Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, how many (a) full-time and (b) part-time staff in his Department have been seconded from (i) businesses and (ii) charities.

We currently have fewer than ten colleagues on inward secondment to the FCO from a organisation outside the Civil Service. We do not confirm the precise numbers, or whether they are full or part-time staff, as this might enable individual identities to be revealed.
