Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what estimate her Department has made of the cost to her Department of maintaining agricultural sector funding at Pillar 1 levels under the Common Agricultural Policy from when the UK leaves the EU until 2020; and if she will make a statement.

The annual value of the Pillar 1 budget fluctuates with currency movements but the budget for the 2016 scheme year for the UK was circa £2.7bn. It is too early to calculate the equivalent value for the 2019/2020 scheme year.
