Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, pursuant to the Answer of 20 July 2016 to Question 42557, on the Two Trees School, Denton, whether a section 77 application from Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council has yet been received; and if she or officials of her Department will meet the hon. Member for Denton and Reddish to discuss that matter.

The Education Funding Agency (EFA) received a section 77 application from Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council on 15 March 2017. The application is currently being reviewed by officials at the EFA. The Secretary of State will also consider the recommendation from the School Playing Fields Advisory Panel before making her final decision. She has therefore asked the official dealing with the application to contact the hon. Member for Denton and Reddish to discuss this matter when they have completed their initial review.
