Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, pursuant to the Answer of 30 June 2015 to Question 3489, on immigration: Olympic Games 2012, what the immigration status is of the 30 people who made a claim for asylum which has not been granted; and what enforcement action has been taken in each such case.

As stated in the last PQ response (Q 3489), 82 asylum claims were made of which 52 were subsequently granted asylum.

Of the remaining 30, 10 have been removed following the refusal of their claim and 2 have had their appeals allowed. The remainder have outstanding appeals or applications or are subject to ongoing enforcement action or investigation.
