The total numbers of transfer of firearms into the UK by registered importers from the EU for the last five years is as follows:

Total number of transfers

  • April 2012 – March 2013 2,458

  • April 2013 – March 2014 4,969

  • April 2014 – March 2015 3,528

  • April 2015 – March 2016 4,231

  • April 2016 – March 2017 3,692 (up to 21st March 2017)

These figures represent the number of commercial movements. The total numbers of firearms from these transfers have not routinely been collated albeit the information is held on each record.
