The Children and Families Act 2014, regulations made under that Act, and the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Code of Practice introduced significant reforms to the SEND system in England. The reforms need time to bed in, and we are providing local areas with support to allow them to implement them effectively. We are also gathering feedback from a wide range of individuals and organisations. In due course, and in the light of that feedback, we will review the existing Code and regulations.
