Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how information on the safe removal of ticks is publicised.

Public Health England (PHE) provides details of a range of tick awareness information on the www.gov.uk website including a leaflet detailing: what ticks are and where they can be found; how people come into contact with ticks; the main health threats; how to perform a tick check; and what to do if bitten. PHE is also working with a range of local authorities to improve tick awareness and what to do when bitten.
