Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, when his Department plans to publish a new sexual and reproductive health strategy; and whether he plans to include in that strategy an assessment of the potential merits of including a requirement to return levels of face-to-face testing at sexual health clinics to pre-covid-19 outbreak levels.

We are developing a new sexual and reproductive health strategy for England, which we plan to publish this year. The strategy will set out plans to work with system partners to ensure the availability of a blended service delivery model, including face-to-face as well as digital services. The strategy will not include a formal assessment of or a requirement to return to pre-COVID-19 levels of in-person testing at sexual health clinics. It is the responsibility of local authorities to determine and commission the blend of service access to suit the population.
