Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment he has made of the effect of covid-19 on former miners who have underlying health conditions.

Public Health England has conducted a review of disparities in risks and outcomes of COVID-19 by various indicators including occupation. No association has been identified with the mining profession. The review did not explore previous occupation among retirees.
