The government has invested £3.57 million in 2025/26 through the Night Shelter Transformation Fund to enhance emergency accommodation provision in the homelessness sector. This funding forms part of the government’s £1 billion funding for homelessness and rough sleeping services in 2025/26.

MHCLG’s team of homelessness and rough sleeping advisers hold regular discussions with local authorities on the provision and delivery of homelessness services in their areas. Many local authorities and charities provide ways for the general public to support services and individuals.
