To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, what target he has set for reducing the number of employees who earn below two-thirds of the median hourly wage.
The Government has announced a new mandatory National Living Wage to be introduced at £7.20 in April 2016 for those aged 25 and over. The Government has set out the ambition that this should continue to increase to reach 60% of median earnings by 2020, subject to sustained economic growth.
