We are committed to introducing a national funding formula for schools that will calculate schools’ funding allocations consistently and transparently, using an up to date assessment of need. We believe this represents a fairer way of funding schools.

We have consulted on our proposals and we are grateful to those who have taken the time to highlight their views as part of this process. We received over 25,000 responses to the consultation, which we are reviewing in detail.
