The number of further education (FE) colleges that had a student registered to them undertaking an applied general or tech level qualification in 2021 in Art and Design was 60 and in multimedia (including creative media) was 49. These numbers are broken down further below by the different type of FE sector colleges. The qualifications reported here are those that have been approved for reporting in performance tables in the 2020/21 academic year. Applied general and tech level qualifications are level 3 vocational and technical qualifications that include BTECs, which are a brand of qualifications awarded by Pearson, as well as similar qualifications that have been awarded by other awarding bodies.
