Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what recent discussions he has had with representatives of the music industry on transparency and fair remuneration of artists in relation to subscription income from digital streaming.

Over the past 6 months, BEIS Ministers have held several meetings with stakeholders from the UK music industry, including representatives of songwriters, performers, record labels and publishers, to discuss issues of mutual interest including those relating to transparency and remuneration of artists in relation to digital streaming.
