Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, with reference to the summary and main findings of the report by HM Inspectorate of Constabulary, PEEL: Police effectiveness 2016, published in March 2017, what steps she is taking to prevent police forces from rationing their response to reported crimes.

Decisions about the allocation of police resources are for Chief Constables and democratically accountable Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs). They are responsible for ensuring the needs of the local community are met.
