Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether he will maintain the commitment to publish the NHS workforce strategy by the end of 2022.
This question was answered on 3rd November 2022
In January 2022 the Department of Health and Social Care commissioned NHS England to develop a long-term workforce plan. The long-term workforce plan will build on the foundations of the NHS People Plan. The plan is still being created by NHS England and they are due to complete this work by the end of 2022. The key conclusions will be shared in due course.
