Defibrillators: Public Places

Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether his Department has made an assessment of the potential merits of making defibrillators mandatory in all public places.

We are currently considering ways to improve access to automatic external defibrillators. We encourage organisations to consider purchasing a defibrillator as part of first aid equipment, particularly for locations with high concentrations of people.
