Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether he plans to re-introduce mandatory mask-wearing and social distancing measures to limit covid-19 transmission.
The COVID-19 Response: Autumn and Winter Plan 2021, published on 14 September, set out that if the data suggests the National Health Service is likely to come under unsustainable pressure, the Government will implement its prepared Plan B for England. Plan B will include measures that help control transmission of the virus including requiring people to wear face coverings in some settings.
