Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what steps her Department is taking to ensure that the level of the wild boar population is controlled.

The Government and its partner organisations, such as the Deer Initiative, facilitate boar management by providing advice and guidance. The responsibility for carrying out the management of wild boar, as with other wildlife, lies with local communities and individual landowners and managers.
