Question to the Department for Business and Trade:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business and Trade, what analysis has been undertaken regarding the potential impact of guaranteed-hours requirements on recruitment practices.

The government has published a comprehensive assessment of the potential impacts from the zero hours contract measures in the Employment Rights Act 2025 and will publish further analysis in due course as we implement these measures. This includes consideration of the potential impact of the right to guaranteed hours on employment.
