The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) (No.2) Regulations 2021 provide for a 12 week grace period to allow Care Quality Commission registered persons to work with health and care workers in meeting the requirements. There is no specific provision for extenuating circumstances.
