Question to the Department for Education:
To ask the Secretary of State for Education, pursuant to the oral contribution of the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Work and Pensions of 5 July 2017, Official Report, column 143WH, on apprenticeships opportunities, how many women over 59-years started apprenticeships in each year since 2010-11.
The table below shows apprenticeship starts by gender for learners aged 60 and over for the available academic years (2011/12 to 2015/16).
Data for the 2016/17 academic year shows starts covering the year reported to date - August 2016 to April 2017.
