Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what information her Department holds on the (a) number and (b) nature of instances in which members of the public have been subject to monitoring by government agencies on social media platforms in the last 12 months.

It is the longstanding policy of successive UK Governments that we do not comment on operational intelligence or security matters.
