Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, how many and what proportion of early years educators qualified to level 3 were working with children aged (a) two, (b) three and (c) four in each of the last five years.

The Department for Education does not hold the data you have requested. However, the Childcare and Early Years Providers Survey 2013 includes data on the proportion of staff qualified to level 3 and level 6 in childcare settings. The Early Years Foundation Stage Framework requires the manager of group nursery settings to be qualified to at least level 3.
