Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps he is taking to increase access to care in the community in South Holland and the Deepings constituency.
The Government is committed to embedding “Home First” as a principle in adult social care and health policy, ensuring care is delivered in the least restrictive setting. The National Care Service and the Neighbourhood Health Service will play a critical role in helping people stay independent for longer.
The 10-Year Health Plan sets out how we will work towards a Neighbourhood Health Service, with more care delivered locally to create healthier communities, spot problems earlier, and integrate health into the social fabric of places.
Local authorities are responsible for assessing individuals’ care and support needs and, where eligible, for meeting those needs as set out in the Care Act 2014. The funding made available to North Lincolnshire in 2025/26 means that they will see an increase to their core spending power of up to £12.5 million compared to 2024/25.
