We welcome the steps Qatar has taken to date to improve the treatment of its migrant workers. The UK stands ready to further assist and support Qatar's continued efforts to implement the recommended reforms. These reforms take time and the Qatari authorities continue to demonstrate that they are raising standards.

The UK engages regularly with the International Labour Organisation (ILO), which opened an office in Qatar in 2018. We continue to explore areas of the ILO's work where the UK can add particular value.
