Question to the Department for International Trade:

To ask the Secretary of State for International Trade, what estimate he has made of the cost of setting up a department to investigate trade barriers not related to anti-dumping or anti-subsidy investigations in countries that discriminate against UK exports.

The Department for International Trade is developing a cost effective approach for identifying and tackling trade barriers that discriminate against UK exporters. This work is ongoing and cost estimates cannot yet be finalised.
