The Government has committed to providing the £100 Alternative Fuel Payment this winter. Details will be confirmed shortly.

The Government will deliver this support as fast as possible. There is no central register of people who do not use mains gas for their heating. The Government is working with stakeholders to ascertain the best method of identifying eligible customers and making payments to them.

For Northern Ireland the Government is working with electricity suppliers to explore how the payment could be delivered via electricity bills.
