Over the last three years, UK investment has cleared mines from 406 million square metres of land - the equivalent of over 56,850 football pitches - and delivered life-saving risk education to 3.34 million people living in mine-affected communities.

We will build on this work through the Global Mine Action Programme 3 (GMAP3), due to begin in 2022. The precise budget and country allocations are being finalised, but it will involve landmine clearance and risk education to help affected communities keep safe and capacity development for national authorities to help them manage their landmine contamination.
