Children of compulsory school age must receive full-time education. Parents have a statutory duty to see that their children receive a full-time education and local authorities are under a duty to provide suitable school places.

The Government provides funding to enable local authorities, schools and health partners to provide vulnerable refugees with a safe environment and the chance to rebuild their lives.
