Question to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, what recent assessment he has made of the adequacy of the player protection measures on fixed-odds betting terminals introduced in April 2015.
This question was answered on 7th September 2015
In April 2014 the previous Government announced action which included £50 staking measures on B2 gaming machines in bookmakers which came into force in April 2015.
The Government is monitoring the impact of the measures but it is too early to draw any definitive conclusions.
