Asylum: Hotels

Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many and what proportion of the hotels that were being used for asylum seeker accommodation on 1 September 2022 were no longer being used to house asylum seekers on (a) 1 October 2022 and (b) 1 November 2022.

On 1 September 2022 there were 264 hotels being used for asylum seeker accommodation, out of which all were in use on 3 October 2022 (earliest data set available for October 2022) and 1 was no longer in use on 1st November 2022.

On 3 October there were 291 hotels being used for asylum seeker accommodation, out of which 2 were no longer in use on 1 November 2022.
