The High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Christian Schmidt, has the UK's full support, including for the use of his executive powers should the situation require it. Our Embassy in Sarajevo maintains close contact with Mr Schmidt and his Office (OHR). The High Representative is visiting London in early December, where he will meet UK Ministers. His role, and that of the stabilisation force (EUFOR), remain essential. As agreed by the Peace Implementation Council Steering Board, completion of the "5+2 agenda" remains necessary for closure of the OHR. We reject any attempts to undermine the High Representative or to close his office prematurely.
