To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, whether requests for consultancy and temporary staff for the his Department must be accompanied by a formal business case.

All requests for consultancy and temporary staff must be accompanied by a formal business case. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office's process for external recruitment is in compliance with Cabinet Office recruitment controls.
