To ask the Secretary of State for Business and Trade, with reference to page 53 of the Defence Industrial Strategy: Making Defence an Engine for Growth, published on 8 September 2025, CP 1388, when he plans to open the consultation on the British Industrial Competitiveness Scheme.

The Department for Business and Trade will launch a consultation on the British Industrial Competitiveness Scheme before the end of this year.
