Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether he has plans to scale down capacity for testing for covid-19.

Asymptomatic testing continues to be an important tool to help reduce spread of the virus, while supporting people to manage their own risk and the risks of others. We will therefore continue to provide the public with access to free lateral flow tests. Decisions on the continuation of the service will be made in due course.
