Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether he has made an assessment of the potential merits of raising the level of ENT training opportunities at hospitals with sufficient surgical procedure throughput per week.

No specific assessment has been made. However in 2022, Health Education England created 10 additional training places for ear, nose and throat specialty training, which was a 35.7% increase from the 2021 intake.
