To ask the Minister for Women and Equalities, what the timetable is for delivering funding for abortions for Northern Irish women in England; and if she will make a statement.
On 29 June, the government committed to providing abortions in England without charge for residents of Northern Ireland.
We have been given assurances that, since that date, women from Northern Ireland have not been charged for abortions provided in England.
We are working with service providers to agree a mechanism to deliver the service for women from Northern Ireland that replicates as closely as possible the service that residents of England receive.
