Question to the Department for Education:
To ask the Secretary of State for Education, whether he has made an estimate of the number of children enrolling in schools in England in the event of extending freedom of movement to nations including (a) Morocco, (b) Switzerland, (c) Norway, (d) Turkey, (e) North Macedonia, (f) Bosnia, (g) Serbia, (h) Kosovo, (i) Albania and (j) Iceland.
Freedom of movement is already extended to Switzerland, Norway and Iceland.
For Norway and Iceland, this is because they are members of the European Economic Area (EEA) and for Switzerland, this is because it is part of the single market.
Regarding the other countries mentioned, no estimates have been made in relation to the possible scenario described.
