Question to the Leader of the House:

To ask the Leader of the House, what steps he has taken to establish a mechanism by which the Government takes responsibility for MPs' absence for jury service.

The way in which individual Members of Parliament fulfill their responsibilities in Parliament is a matter for them, rather than the Government. There are established party processes in place for when a member is absent, such as pairing.
